I wasn't going to post another meme for a while. I figured that by now everyone probably knows far more about me than they ever wanted to. But I had to make an exception in this case because I could never say no to my good friend U.A.S.

1) I have a pathological need for space. One of my pet peeves is when someone takes the seats right next to us in an empty theater or the table right next to us in an empty restaurant. I simply can't abide it. Why would you want to be at such close quarters when you don't have to? Give me my space!
2) My husband is the one from Costa Rica, but I'm the one on "Latino Time". I am completely incapable of being punctual. My friends all know that if they want me to be on time, they need to invite me for 10-20 minutes earlier than they actually want me to show up.
3) When something bothers me, I often replay the conversations in my head. Apparently I get so into it, I sometimes mimic the facial expressions I am thinking about without realizing it. My husband calls me muecas when I do this.

4) I don't like the crinkly sound that plastic bags make. I won't drive with my windows open when I have grocery bags in the car.
5) When college football season rolls around MrEllie becomes a football widower. I am as crazed as any fan you care to meet. One of the lowlights of my college football obsession was making MrEllie take me to a Hooters at 9:00 am because it was the only place in Seattle showing the Tennessee-Florida game. My female friends think this makes me insane. My male friends, on the other hand, think this makes me the perfect date. This fall, I am flying to Knoxville for a weekend just to attend the Tennessee-Arkansas game with my friend Scott.

Hi Ellie :D...
I replay conversations in my head too :D hahaha...
I think we are a little bit crazy :P...
Take care xD
The next time I see you at Hooters I am going to bring a couple of plastic bags to crinkle. Did I mention that I am going to sit as close as possible to you. ;)
Hey, I replay conversations too, but out loud! Sometimes I wonder if I ever do it on the street without realizing it...
Oh, and if you like having your own space, do not come to Israel. Ever.
¡¡Diay, Mizellie!!
Hahaha!! So you and I are partly related... Maybe you left a child in C.R.... Mmmm
1) Hahah!! So weird! I haven't even thought about that... When I was with my ex, though, we didn't like people near us so we could hold hands with nobody making "ew"s and "oh"s...
2) Didn't know your husban was from Costa Rica!! I just thought you, like many other "estadounidenses", came ere for a visit.
And yeah, we're unpunctual... One friend of mine takes that to the limit!! One time, I had to wait for her AN HOUR and we had an exam!!! I had to ask a question to a partner, but they left, so I couldn't... Imagine my wrath when I saw the very same question I had to ask, in the test...
3) Hahahaha!!! I do the exact same thing!! I even (mostly) do that when walking alone... People must think I'm nuts!!! Hahahaha, I really loved that one, muecas.
4) Never thought of that, either. The sound I hate is the pots when my mom is looking for something... Stainless steel glasses sound terrible when they collide.
5) I love that! One friend of mine is obsessed with soccer (she's a girl)... That makes me think she's the perfect date, as she enjoys as much as many guys to watch soccer.
It seems we share with andrea and miss worldwide the conversation-replaying issue
Bye!!
I run late too, and I finally started telling people to take that into consideration when they tell me what time to meet them.
I also have my watch and clocks set anywhere from 7 minutes to a half hour ahead to try and trick myself so I show up on time.
Ellie - It's so nice knowing I'm not the only one who's a little loco! I can't stand the term "whatnot" - every time I hear it, I start to growl. And I don't like to share. I only offer my food to others if I don't really like it. Actually, I do offer it, I just hope no one takes me up on it.
I, too, love college football much more than all of my friends and husband! When the Buckeyes play, I holler at the TV and all! It's funny b/c I'm not at all a tomboy - I just happen to be a girly girl with a passion for OSU football!
Andrea - ¡Sí, seguro, estamos locos! Estoy feliz que hay otras. ;-)
Jack - You are such a bad-boy. If you were in CR, you would have the nickname of necio (one who bothers)
Miss Worldwide - So glad to know that I'm not alone in this. I've done it out loud several times...oops! Israel must be a lot like Costa Rica in terms of personal space. ;-)
Come Running - Yes!!! I do that with my clocks as well!!! It works for a while...until I get used to it....
Babka - Isn't it? I was starting to think I had cornered the market. I hate "whatnot" too (usually because it is coming from someone pretentious). However, I love to share food...but mostly if I'm the one stealing from someone else's plate. ;-)
Jill - I wish you lived closer. The only conference I like almost as much as the SEC is the Big 10! Can you imagine the fun we could have on football Saturdays, making the guys fetch us beers while we scream our lungs out?
Hi my friend!!!! Thanks for ur support, I hope u like Siridow!!! :D
And of course, ur always welcome to comeback...
Oh, I have ur link in Siridow now...:D
Saludos!!! ;)
I'll put in for my membership in the conversation-replaying club as well.
Andrea - A mi me encanta Siridow!
JML - It's a large and growing bunch!
The Latino-time thing is interesting. I am Costa Rican as well, and I had a hard time with American girls because they were never sharp on time... that really took me back to CR in my mind. LOL.
I also have this personal bubble no one is supposed to trespass.. my very own personal space.. in addition to that, all my surrounding must be symmetrical for some reason or else I get real mad.
I can perfectly relate to your idiosyncracies. Nice post.
Dave - Hmmm, it sounds like we might have to switch the name "Latino Time" for "Gringa Time". hahaha I am so with you on the personal space thing. Not so much on the symmetry, but my husband certainly is!
Symmetry = craziness (that's all I'm saying)
Thank you for what you said about my comments :') (I cry because I'm so happy...)
We should make a club, you're right on!!
